1. About this policy

This policy explains how North Coast Digital Studio (ABN 67 419 789 025), an Australian sole-trader web design business based on the Gold Coast, handles personal information received through this website and related business communications.

2. Information we collect

If you request a quote, we collect the details you choose to submit: your name, business name (if supplied), email address, optional phone number, selected website package, optional maintenance plan, preferred billing period, and project description. We also record that you agreed to be contacted about your enquiry.

When an enquiry is submitted using a campaign link, the form may include the referral source, campaign or referring website. Please do not send passwords, payment-card numbers or other highly sensitive details through the quote form.

3. Why we use the information

• To read, assess and respond to your enquiry or request for a quote.
• To prepare a proposal, agree on project requirements and communicate about requested services.
• To manage projects, customer relationships and business records where applicable.
• To understand which marketing campaigns result in enquiries, using basic referral information included with a submitted form.

Submitting a quote request does not add you to an unrelated marketing mailing list. We do not sell customer information or provide it to advertisers in exchange for payment.

4. Where information is processed

Our website and enquiry form are hosted through Netlify. Enquiries submitted through the form can be stored in Netlify's forms dashboard and sent as email notifications to our business Gmail account, provided by Google.

These providers may process or store information using infrastructure outside Australia. Their processing locations can change, and we cannot reliably identify every country involved. We only share information with service providers as needed to operate the website and respond to enquiries, or where required by law.

5. Visitor analytics and referral information

We use Netlify's built-in web analytics to understand basic site usage, such as pageviews, approximate visitor counts, referring sources, and broad geographic locations. Netlify provides these metrics from requests to the hosted site; the website does not currently install a separate Google Analytics tracker or advertising pixel.

If you submit the enquiry form, we may also receive campaign information from the link you followed. This campaign information is attached to that enquiry, rather than being used by us to build a browsing profile across websites.

6. Security and keeping information

We aim to limit access to enquiry details, protect business accounts with appropriate security controls, and retain information only while needed for enquiries, project work, record keeping, or lawful business purposes. We may then delete or de-identify records when no longer needed, subject to legal obligations and the retention capabilities of service providers.

No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If we identify a significant privacy or security issue, we will assess the appropriate response under applicable law.

7. Access, correction and privacy questions

You can ask what information we hold about you, request corrections, or ask us to remove information that is no longer required. Contact us by email with enough information to identify the relevant enquiry. We may need to verify the request before making changes.
